MEET - Jared Cox

Jared's FaceJared Cox is a native of a small town of 3,000 people in northwest Kansas. He grew up working with tractors, wheat, pigs, and four older siblings. Throughout his young life, he was often mocked for being strange, interesting and nerdy.

During his fifth grade year, he felt his first feelings for theatre when he saw his older brother perform in the high school play. After four years of waiting, Jared joined the world of live theatre by joining the school play, as well as the forensics (competitive acting team) class. Jared, along with his best friend of six years, Aaron Van Der Wege, then proceeded to sign up for the improvised Duet Acting portion of the team and immediately became the first team IDA group. They went on to win three state championships, and many first places, none of which matter because most of the world thinks of criminal science whenever they hear the word forensics.

After graduating high school in 2008, Jared left his small town community in Kansas (which by the way, only had one stop light) and headed to Phoenix for a higher education in Game and Simulation Programming. After mourning leaving his fellow improv actor in Kansas, Jared eventually found tryouts for a group known as NCT in Phoenix and figured he'd give it a shot. Now, Jared is building a whole new improv family and is loving every minute of it.
