High School Improv League

High School League Season Launch: 2009/10

The NCT High School League is a unique opportunity for High School students in Phoenix to learn improv skills and theory, and to put it into practice with regular performances. Each school is assigned an instructor from the professional NCT team. In addition to ongoing professional training teams will be coached and encouraged to host competitive improv shows at their own school and to participate in inter-school competitive improv comedy shows. The best part is that each of these comedy shows acts as a fund-raiser for the school's own theatre department! High School League teams can raise money for the theatre, while performing in hysterical shows at the same time...

National Comedy Theatre has been performing and teaching improvisation for over two decades in California and Off-Broadway in New York. The Phoenix National Comedy Theatre has been voted Best Theatre Company and Best Live Theatre Venue by azcentral.com's BEST of Phoenix reader's choice poll.

In addition, a multi-school tournament will be held at our theatre at the end of the school year.
